Our experience in the development of CSR enterprises

In addition to our recent involvement in the area of development assistance for CSR enterprises (end 2009), we have already gained unique experience in this domain. Indeed, Armadif was the central player in designing a social responsibility-based development model integrating the 7 CSR principles, for a company operating in the biotechnology field.
At the outset a project backed 100% through private investment (venture capital), Armadif strove over a 10-month period to reconcile the expectations of the various parties, both private and public, by systematically integrating the CSR concept into the business plan. It is without a doubt the longest and most difficult negotiation we have been entrusted with to date, in that the points of view of the various parties were, at the outset, vastly different, if not completely opposed.

Result: The investment budget to start up this CSR company operating in the biotechnology field (equipment and employees) was set up and met the expectations of the various parties, whilst at the same time taking into account the risks and the level of investment agreed by each party.
In fact the private investors invested considerably less than had been initially planned, but they invested in their own area of expertise. By decreasing their perception of risk, Armadif convinced them to lower their expectations with regard to financial return on the project.
By convincing the public to invest actively in the project, Armadif made them a dynamic and collaborative player with a long-term vision.
The CSR concepts were completely integrated, in that short-term profit seeking was abandoned in favor of enterprise sustainability, with the company’s financial resources being reinvested in the research and development sector and employee and team development.
